This wild, remote coast that is dominated by the power and tide of the Atlantic Ocean, captured my heart. Working and living in LA for years, this was the edge of the world for me. I bought a house. I put a map on the wall and with a compass inscribed a 5-mile circumference. This was my parameter to shoot within. For three summers, I set out with my Tomiyama large-format. Handheld. Three frames per roll. Pushing the format's constraints by framing people within their landscape.
