Urbania is a lifelong work, shot worldwide. It wasn't beauty I was looking for, but rather life around the edges... humans found within the construct of cities in proud, defiant, funny, odd, and often internal moments of connection and disconnection-the seeing and not seeing. Narratives written by the viewer.

 

I continue to shoot this series in black and white to negate the distraction of time and place, pondering life within the frame and my relationship as both viewer and participant.
